The Xperia XZ Is The Latest Entrant In Sony’s Xperia X Phone Series
Sony has introduced a new members of the company’s ‘Xperia X’ line, The Xperia XZ. A flagship that the company considers a ‘spin-off’ in the every sense of the word: free of the mainstream Xperia brand’s paradigms, but built upon its strengths.
Sony Xperia XZ Smartphone Features:
The Sony Xperia XZ is essentially the smaller variant of the Xperia X Performance. This smartphone, much like the Xperia X Performance, comes out with the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core processor by Qualcomm, along with the Adreno 530 GPU for graphics rendering. The smartphone sports a 5.2-inch full HD (1920 x 1080) TRILUMINOS display with the Sony’s X-Reality engine, while Dynamic Contrast Enhancement is also included here. The phone packs in 3 gigabyte of RAM and 32 gigabyte of expandable internal storage (eMMC).
The 23MP camera (1/2.3” Exmor RS sensor, 24mm wide-angle lens, ISO12800, 5x Clear Image zoom) is placed on the back of this smartphone. While BIONZ engine for mobile image processing is included here. Sony’s SteadyShot feature with Intelligent Active Mode comes with this device as well, along with 5-axis stabilization for better image capturing. On the front side of the Xperia XZ lies a 13MP snapper (22mm wide-angle lens, 1/3.06” Exmor RS sensor, ISO6400, f/2.0 aperture). And it’s worth noting this is a single SIM smartphone (Nano SIM).
The XZ is IP68 waterproof, allowing it to withstand submersion in up to six feet of water for up to 30 minutes.
The XZ comes running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with Sony’s lightweight UI layer on the top. And the company has promised an update to Android 7.0 Nougat in the future.
Sony Xperia XZ Smartphone Price:
The device will be available in Forest Blue, Mineral Black and Platinum color options. While you will be able to purchase the Xperia XZ starting from October 23rd. And its price will vary, depending on region and carriers.
