3-million euro sandwich panel line order won by Formia and destined for Ruukki in Ukraine

Formia Construction in Jyväskylä, the affiliate of Formia Technology Group Oy, and CJSC Ruukki Ukraine signed a supply contract worth approximately 3 million euros for a sandwich panel line to be delivered to Ruukki’s Kiev factory. This order includes the entire delivery of the line, which makes sandwich panels utilizing mineral wool as insulation materials. The sandwich panel line concerned is due to become operational in Ukraine at the beginning of October 2008.

Ruukki is currently building a new manufacturing facility which will make components and systems for steel construction in Ukraine. The facility’s production lines will be launched during year 2008. The sandwich panel line is intended to begin operating during the last quarter of 2008. For the factory concerned, the maximum annual capacity of the sandwich panel line being delivered will be more than 1,000,000 square metres of ready-made sandwich panel. This new supply contract is among the largest single orders in the history of Formia. Winning these orders bears testimony to Formia’s rapidly consolidating position as a technology supplier of factory-wide complete units for steel construction machines and equipment. This order lengthens significantly Formia’s order book for 2008, greatly brightening the company’s prospects for 2008.
