ASTON MARTIN V12 Vantage S Is Coming
A luxury sports cars manufacturer, Aston Martin is offering the sensational V12 Vantage S with a manual transmission. The original V12 Vantage, launched back in the year of 2009, came only with a 6-speed manual option. It is the replacement, 2013’s V12 Vantage S, had only a 7-speed automatic on its spec sheet.
For the 2017 model year, Aston produce the V12 Vantage S with a 7-speed manual transmission. By opting for seven speeds, Aston has been able to keep the same gear ratios as the paddleshifter. which means that its scintillating performance – a 3.9-second 0-62 mph time and 205 mph top speed – remain intact, and in turn, so do the pub-bragging rights.
On the outside, the V12 Vantage looks the same as before, but the real updates and innovation are inside. A new center stack and infotainment system, much like that in the Vanquish, are now the norm and Apple CarPlay connectivity. But the best part is this new lever on the center console that is used to manually select gears. Its stainless steel exhaust system can also by amplified via a Sports mode, which is good news for ears everywhere.
The gearbox also has a rev matching feature, but it can thankfully be turned off with the flick of a switch. manufacturer says the car, which we presume still has 565 horsepower, will reach 60 in 3.9 sec and hit a top speed of 205 mph. We presume it will be a lot of fun.
Deliveries of the manual V12 Vantage S scheduled to begin during the third quarter of 2016, with a $188,795 MSRP.
